Lions Sign DT Christian Ringo To Practice Squad, Released DT Daniel Ross

The Detroit Lions announced Thursday that they’ve signed DT Christian Ringo to their practice squad and released DT Daniel Ross from the unit.

The Lions’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. LB Thurston Armbrister (Exception)
  2. CB Adairius Barnes
  3. WR Jace Billingsley
  4. WR Dontez Ford (Injured)
  5. C Leo Koloamatangi
  6. DE Earl Okine
  7. S Rolan Milligan
  8. TE Hakeem Valles (Exception)
  9. WR Noel Thomas
  10. OT Storm Norton
  11. DT Christian Ringo

Ringo, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Packers back in 2015. He was unable to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season but was later signed to their practice squad and eventually brought back on a future/reserve contract last year.

The Packers re-signed Ringo to a one-year, exclusive rights contract worth $615,000 this past April before cutting him loose coming out of the preseason. The Bengals later claimed him off of waivers only to waive him a week later.

In 2016, Ringo appeared seven games for the Packers and recorded two tackles, a forced fumble and no sacks.
