Lions Sign First-Round OT Taylor Decker To A Four-Year Deal

The Detroit Lions have agreed to terms with first-round OT Taylor Decker, according to the team’s website.

The Lions also signed OL Joe Dahl (5th), C Graham Glasgow (3rd), S Miles Killebrew (4th), LS Jimmy Landes (6th), QB Jake Rudock (6th), RB Dwayne Washington (7th), LB Antwione Williams (5th), and DL Anthony Zettel (6th).

Decker, 21, was taken with the No. 16 overall pick by the Lions. Detroit made a conscious effort to bolster their offensive line in this year’s draft and help protect QB Matthew Stafford in the coming years.

According to OverTheCap.com, Decker receives a four-year contract worth $10,966,978 to go along with a signing bonus of $6,175,984 . The contract will include a fifth-year option for the team to consider in 2019.

During his college career at Ohio State, Decker made 42 starts for the Buckeyes at left tackle and was the 2015 Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year.
