According to Dave Birkett, the Lions have signed LB Chi Chi Ariguzo and waived LB Raphael Kirby in a corresponding roster move.
Ariguzo, 24, is an undrafted free agent out of Northwestern and that signed on with the Chargers earlier this offseason. However, San Diego elected to release him back in March.
He has yet to make an appearance during an NFL game.
During his college career, Ariguzo recorded 335 total tackles, 24.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, six interceptions, four pass defenses, and two forced fumbles.
Kirby is an undrafted free agent out of Miami and signed with the Lions just four days ago. This was his first opportunity in the NFL.
