Lions Sign OL Lemuel Jeanpierre, Waive WR Alex Chisum

The Detroit Lions announced that they’ve placed WR Alex Chisum on waivers and signed OL Lemuel Jeanpierre.

Jeanpierre, 29, originally signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of South Carolina back in 2010. However, he was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason during his rookie year and was placed on waivers.

The Seahawks later signed him to their practice squad. He’s spent five years in Seattle before testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2015, Jeanpierre appeared in 10 games for the Seahawks, but was limited to playing just 25 total snaps.

Chisum, 23, is an undrafted free agent out of Cincinnati, who just signed on with the Lions close to a week ago.
