Lions Sign OT Jordan Mills To Practice Squad, Cut WR Saalim Hakim

Tim Twentyman reports that the Lions have signed OT Jordan Mills to their practice squad on Wednesday.

  • Dave Birkett reports that the Lions are releasing WR Saalim Hakim to make room for Mills.

Mills, 24, is in the third year of his four-year, $2,324,800 rookie contract that included a $164,800 signing bonus. He stands to make a base salary of $585,000 for the 2015 season.

The Bears cut Mills loose a few weeks ago, but he was later claimed off of waivers by the Cowboys. Dallas elected to waive him earlier in the week.

In 2014, Mills appeared in 13 games for the Bears and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 66 offensive tackle out of 84 qualifying players.
