The Detroit Lions announced that they’ve signed P Kasey Redfern to a contract on Tuesday.
Redfern, 25, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Wofford back in 2014. He was, unfortunately, cut loose during early roster cuts back in 2014, but he later returned to Jacksonville on a future/reserve contract.
Redfern had brief stints with the Chargers and Panthers before Carolina traded him to the Browns as part of the Andy Lee deal at the start of last season. Cleveland ultimately waived him a few days later and he sat out the entire 2016 season.
Redfern has yet to appear in an NFL game.
