Lions Sign RB Rasheed Williams, Waive WR Erik Lora

Tim Twentyman reports that the Lions have signed RB Rasheed Williams and placed WR Erik Lora on waivers to make room for him on their roster.

Williams signed with the Lions shortly after the draft as an undrafted rookie out of Alfred State. However, he wasn’t eligible to participate in OTAs, which led to him being released.

Williams ran for 1,676 yards (6.7 average) with 16 touchdowns during his senior season at Alfred State.

Lora, 24, originally signed on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Eastern Illinois back in May of last year. He was unable to make the final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but the Lions elected to give him another opportunity last month.
