Lions Sign Second-Round Pick OLB Kyle Van Noy

Lions second-round pick OLB Kyle Van Noy announced Wednesday that he has signed his rookie contract.

The Lions now have all but one of their 2014 draft picks under contract except No. 10 overall pick TE Eric Ebron.

Van Noy’s four-year contract is worth an estimated $5,102,098 and includes a signing bonus of $2,030,620, according to OverTheCap.com.

Many thought Van Noy would go to team that employed a 3-4 defensive scheme, but he could still end up being an impact player for the Lions in the not too distant future.

Last year, Van Noy tallied 67 tackles with 17 of them coming for a loss to go along with four sacks and two interceptions at BYU. He also added seven pass defenses and scored a defensive touchdown.
