The Detroit Lions announced Wednesday that they’ve signed TE Hakeem Valles and WR Noel Thomas to their practice squad. The Lions also released TE Cole Wick from the unit and placed WR Dontez Ford on the practice squad injured list.
The Lions’ practice squad now consists of:
- LB Thurston Armbrister (Exception)
- CB Adairius Barnes
- WR Jace Billingsley
- WR Dontez Ford (Injured)
- C Leo Koloamatangi
- DE Earl Okine
- S Rolan Milligan
- T Storm Norton
- DE Pat O’Connor
- TE Hakeem Valles
- WR Noel Thomas
Valles, 24, wound up signing on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of back in May of Monmouth last year. He was, unfortunately, waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Cardinals’ practice squad before eventually being promoted to their active roster in October.
Arizona elected to cut Valles loose this past weekend as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players.
In 2016, Valles appeared in 11 games for the Cardinals but did not record a statistic.
