The Detroit Lions have announced the signing of veteran CB Drayton Florence to a contract on Thursday, per Tim Twentyman.
Florence, 33, is coming off of a productive season in which he appeared in 14 games and totaled 26 tackles, two interceptions, and nine passes defensed.
Despite the productive season with the Panthers, Florence found a limited amount of interest this offseason. He reportedly worked out for the Titans and Ravens, but never received an offer from either team.
Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 19 cornerback in the league. We had Florence listed as the No. 7 player in our Best Available Free Agents list.
