Lions Sign Veteran DT Andre Fluellen

The Detroit Lions have signed DT Andre Fluellen to a contract on Wednesday, according to Dave Birkett.

The Lions had to bring in some more depth at defensive tackle after Tyrunn Walker suffered a very serious ankle injury during Monday night’s game.

Fluellen, 30, is a former third-round pick of the Lions back in 2008. He has spent most of his seven-year NFL career in Detroit, but has had brief stints with the Bears and Dolphins before joining the Bills this summer.

He’s been on and off of the Bills’ 53-man roster since the season began, but was cut loose in recent days to make room for RB Cierre Wood, who was signed to their active roster.

In 2014, Fluellen appeared in eight games and recorded 10 tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery for the Lions.
