Lions Sign Veteran OL Don Barclay, Waive OT Dan Skipper

The Detroit Lions announced Tuesday that they’ve  signed former Packers OL Don Barclay and waive OT Dan Skipper.

Barclay, 28, wound up signing on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of West Virginia back in 2012. He’s managed to make the 53-man roster in each of his first five years in the NFL and returned to the Packers on a one-year, $1.025 million contract this past March.

The Packers placed Barclay on injured reserve coming out of the preseason and was released earlier this week.

In 2016, Barclay was active for all 16 games for the Packers and played a total of 196 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
