Lions Sign WR Andy Jones To Practice Squad

According to Tim Twentyman, the Detroit Lions have signed WR Andy Jones to their practice squad.

The Lions’ practice squad now consists of:

  • CB Adairius Barnes
  • WR Jace Billingsley
  • WR Dontez Ford (Injured)
  • C Leo Koloamatangi
  • DE Earl Okine
  • S Rolan Milligan
  • TE Hakeem Valles (Exception)
  • WR Noel Thomas
  • DT Christian Ringo (Exception)
  • OT Dan Skipper
  • WR Andy Jones

Jones, 23, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Jacksonville back in May of last year. Dallas later waived him and signed him to their practice squad once he cleared waivers.

The Cowboys signed him to a futures deal in January but elected to waive him as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit. Jones was later claimed off of waivers by the Texans and bounced on and off their practice squad.

Hoston decided to waive Jones last week.

In 2017, Jones has appeared in one game for the Texans but has yet to record a statistic.
