Today marks the first day where teams can sign free agent without it impacting their 2016 compensatory picks.
Salas, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Rams back in back in 2011. He lasted just a little over a year before he was traded to the Patriots in return for a seventh-round pick. Since then, Salas has played for the Eagles and Jets.
In 2014, Salas appeared in 10 games and caught eight passes for 167 yards and ran for 20 yards and a touchdown on one carry.
