Lions Sign WR Jay Lee To Practice Squad, Cut DB Charles Washington

The Detroit Lions officially signed WR Jay Lee to their practice squad and placed DB Charles Washington on waivers in a corresponding move.

The Lions’ practice squad now consists of:

1. WR Jace Billingsley
2. CB Alex Carter
3. WR TJ Jones
4. CB D’Joun Smith
5. QB Jake Rudock
6. G Brandon Thomas
7. WR Jay Lee
8. LB Zavier Gooden
9. RB Mike James
10. OT Brian Mihalik

Lee, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Baylor back in May. He was unfortunately among the Lions’ final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

During his college career at Baylor, Lee caught 101 passes for 1,700 yards receiving (16.8 YPR) to go along with 15 touchdowns.
