Lions Suspend DT C.J. Mosley For Conduct Detrimental To Team

Tim Twentyman reports that the Lions have suspended DT C.J. Mosley for two weeks for conduct detrimental to the team and a violation of team rules.

  • Twentyman adds that Mosley was sent home from London earlier today.
  • Detroit placed Mosley on the reserve/suspended list and signed S Jerome Couplin from their practice squad to take his roster spot.

Mosley, 31, is in the final year of his two-year, $2.75 million contract and will be an unrestricted free agent next year. He has appeared in seven games this year and recorded 11 tackles, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumbles this season.

Pro Football Focus has Mosley rated as the No. 18 defensive tackle in the league this season with solid ratings in both run and pass defense.
