Lions TE Eric Ebron Probably Out A “Couple Of Weeks” With Ankle & Knee Injuries

A source tells ESPN’s Adam Caplan that Lions TE Eric Ebron will probably need a “couple of weeks” before he can return from ankle and knee injuries.

Ebron briefly left last week’s game but managed to return and finish the game.

Detroit is very thin at tight end, which explains why they brought in veteran TE Clay Harbor this past week to go along with Cole Wick and Khari Lee.

Ebron, 23, is a former first-round pick of the Lions back in 2014. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $12.249 million rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $1,233,558 for the 2016 season.

In 2016, Ebron has caught 18 passes for 210 yards receiving and a touchdown over the course of four games. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 35 tight end out of 57 qualifying players.
