Lions Trade WR Jeremy Kerley To 49ers For OL Brandon Thomas

Adam Schefter reports that the Lions are trading WR Jeremy Kerley to the 49ers in exchange for OL Brandon Thomas.

  • Schefter adds that both players are pending physicals before the trade is finalized.

Kerley, 27, is a former fifth-round pick of the Jets back in 2011. He spent five years in New York before he was released back in March and later signed to a one-year contract worth over $1 million by the Lions.

In 2015, Kerley appeared in all 16 games for the Jets and totaled 16 receptions for 152 yards receiving and a touchdown. He also contributed 411 punt return yards.

Thomas, 25, was selected in the third-round by the 49ers in the 2014 NFL Draft and is entering the third-year of his four-year, $2.731 million rookie contract that included a $506,016 signing bonus.

He has yet to make an appearance during an NFL regular season game.
