Lions Won’t Tender Offer To RFA WR T.J. Jones

Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports that the Lions do not plan to tender restricted free agent WR T.J. Jones or any of their restricted free agents offers.

This, of course, means that Jones and the rest of the Lions’ restricted free agents will be unrestricted free agents at the start of free agency on March 14.

Jones, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Lions back in 2014. He played out the final year of his contract and made a base salary of $615,000 for the 2017 season.

In 2017, Jones appeared in 14 games for the Lions and caught 39 passes for 399 yards receiving and one touchdown. He also totaled 105 kick return yards and 47 punt return yards for Detroit.
