Lions Worked Out Three DTs Including Jerel Worthy

The Detroit Lions brought in three free agent defensive tackles for workouts on Monday including Corbin Bryant, Stefan McClure and Jerel Worthy, according to Adam Caplan.

Of this group, the Lions signed McClure to their practice squad.

Worthy, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Packers back in 2012. However, he lasted just two years in Green Bay and sustained a serious knee. Upon returning, the Packers traded him to the Patriots for a conditional draft pick, but he was, unfortunately, cut loose at the start of the 2014 season.

Worthy had had brief stints with the Chiefs and Lions before signing on with the Bills during the 2015 season. Buffalo elected to cut Worthy loose a few weeks ago.

In 2017, Worthy has appeared in five games for the Bills and recorded five tackles and no sacks.
