Lions WR Golden Tate Expected To Miss Few Weeks With Shoulder Injury

According to Ian Rapoport, Lions WR Golden Tate is expected to miss a few weeks with a shoulder injury he sustained during Sunday’s loss to the Saints.

Rapoport adds that Tate and the Lions are still awaiting the results of his MRI.

Tate, 29, is a former second-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2010. He spent four years in Seattle before signing a five-year, $31 million contract that included $13.25 million guaranteed with the Lions back in 2014.

Tate stands to make base salaries of $6 million and $7 million over the final two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Tate has appeared in six games and caught 36 passes for 363 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 5 receiver out of 108 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding Tate’s status as the news is available.
