London Fletcher Still Contemplating Returning For Another Season

London Fletcher has yet to inform his teammates whether if he’ll be back next season, according to Redskins.com.

Fletcher is still considering whether or not he should return for a 16th season in league, but the fact that he wound up making the Pro Bowl this year could impact his decision to return for his 16th season in the league.

Fletcher, 37, signed a two-year deal worth $10.75 million last April that included $6.75 million in guarantees. He has a base salary of $5.5 million for 2013 and will count $7.25 million against the team’s salary cap. Pro Football Focus actually rated his as the No. 51 best inside linebacker out of 54 qualifying players, which is a pretty clear indication that his overall game has declined significantly.

There’s no question that the Redskins will have to look for a future replacement at some point during the offseason, but it will be interesting to see if Fletcher wants to return for season.
