“Looking More & More” Like Broncos Will Start QB Paxton Lynch In Week 13

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that with Broncos QB Trevor Siemian not practicing on Thursday, it’s “looking more and more” like Denver will start rookie QB Paxton Lynch against the Jaguars this weekend.

On Wednesday, Broncos HC Gary Kubiak said that it’s possible Siemian “could play without practicing.”

Trevor is very bright. He’s on top of what we’re doing,” Kubiak said. “That’s not an issue at all.

However, Siemian’s left foot sprain appears to be serious enough that the Broncos may elect to hold him out this week to ensure he’s closer to 100 percent healthy.

Lynch, 22, was taken with the No. 26 overall pick after the Broncos traded up from No. 31 overall to get their quarterback of the future. He signed a four-year, $9.4 million contract that includes $7.88 guaranteed and is set to make a base salary of $450,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2016, Lynch has completed 37 -of-59 passes (62.7 percent) for 393  yards to go along with two touchdowns and an interception for the Broncos.

We’ll have more regarding Lynch and Siemian as the news is available.
