Matt Cassel Could Be Done For Season

Yesterday Chiefs QB Matt Cassel suffered a hand injury that forced him out Sunday’s game against the Broncos and was seen wearing a cast following the game.

Chiefs head coach Todd Haley said that Cassel injury is “significant” and could end his season, via Eye on Football.

The 2011 season for the Kansas City Chiefs has been a crazy roller coaster ride for the team as they started out 0-3 and lost RB Jamaal Charles early on only to rebound by winning three straight games and a share of the AFC West lead. If Cassel is out for the season, Tyler Palko will take over as the teams quarterback and from there it will be hard to imagine that they’ll remain competitive over the course of the season.

We’ll have more updates as the news becomes available.
