Matt Flynn Signs With Seattle

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Seattle Seahawks have just signed QB Matt Flynn to a three-year contract worth up to $26M and includes $10 million guarantees.

This isn’t exactly the deal that he was looking for but considering that Seattle was ready to bring in Alex Smith next week, it was probably the best contract that he was going to get.

We have Flynn listed as the #10 best available free agent in our Top 50 Free Agents list.

The Palm Beach Post spoke with Matt Flynn‘s father recently and asked him about his time frame for making a decision on his next team.

“Logic would tell me he would do something this weekend or thereabouts,” said Alvin Flynn. “He doesn’t want to drag this out.”

Alvin also mentioned that he “enjoyed” his time with the Seattle Seahawks and had no intentions of signing before he had to opportunity to visit with the Dolphins.

Flynn seems to be leaning towards Miami but I’m sure he’s willing to take Seattle’s offer if they end up “low balling” him which was previously reported to be the case.
