Dave Boling of The News Tribune writes that Matt Flynn is currently the frontrunner in the quarterback race for the Seattle Seahawks.
In an assessment of all three quarterbacks in the competition, (Matt Flynn, Tavaris Jackson, and Russell Wilson), Jackson demonstrates the most physicality and arm strength, making noticeable throws of a surefire NFL starter, but the big question lies in his timing and accuracy. Wilson, though flashing potential, remains a “wildcard” given the nature that he is still a rookie. Flynn is edging the competition, not through athleticism and arm strength, but simply through timing, accuracy, and efficiency with his receivers. It is still fairly early as training camp and the preseason will sift out the starter.
