Matt Forte Will Be Active For Tonight’s Game

Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports that Bears RB Matt Forte will be active for tonight’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.

He has reportedly been telling teammates that he will be active, so barring setback, he should be a part of the team’s offensive plan tonight.

Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith mentioned while appearing a morning radio show that RB Matt Forte will be a game-time decision for Monday night’s game against the Cowboys.

“It’s a game-time decision for Matt. He’s made a lot of progress,” Smith said, via ESPN Chicago. “We’ll get over to the stadium see how he does then and decide.”

Forte has been hampered by an ankle injury, but was able to practice on a limited basis throughout the week, so he does have a shot of playing in tonights game. The real question will be whether or not he’ll be on a pitch count of sorts. If that’s the case or he’s unable to go, Michael Bush figures to see a fairly sizable workload.
