Matt Schaub Hopes To Re-Sign With The Texans

Texans QB Matt Schaub mentioned that he’s hoping to sign a long-term contract that will keep him in Houston for the coming years.

That stuff, if we take care of our business, get our job done, things will take care of themselves,” Schaub said, via HoustonTexans.com. “But I love the city of Houston and want to be here for many years to come.”

Schaub is entering the final year of his six-year deal that totaled $48 million, so there’s a chance that the Texans could try to get a contract finalized before the start of the upcoming season. Schaub appears to be having no issues following offseason surgery on his Lisfranc, so that shouldn’t impact any contract negotiations.
