Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times mentions that there’s actually chance that RB Michael Bush could resign with the Raiders. Corkran mentioned that the current “market for veteran running backs is horrible” which means that Oakland could get him at a reasonable price if they’re still interested in keeping him.
Bush, who saw an increase in touches last season due to the injury to Darren McFadden, seemed to prove that he could be an every down back for an NFL team. He rushed for 977 yards and 7 touchdowns in only 9 starts last season and has drawn interest from both the Bengals and the Seahawks so far, but has yet to receive an offer.
In a week market for RB’s, Bush may not be in for the big payday he or some people think he deserves, so it would make sense for him to consider all available options including the Raiders.
Bush met with Cincinnati yesterday, and will be meeting with the Seahawks today, so things could change rather quickly depending on how things go.
