Michael Vick Still A Few Weeks Away From Returning?

Albert Breer of NFL.com reports that Eagles QB Michael Vick told him that he is still a few weeks away from returning to the field following another hamstring he suffered back in Week 8.

Nick Foles will be the Eagles starting quarterback moving forward, which comes as no surprise following his 7 touchdown performance against the Oakland Raiders. Rookie QB Matt Barkley will serve as Foles’ backup

The only question is whether or not the Eagles will keep Foles in place as their starter if he’s able to continue winning while Vick is out. The verdict is still out on whether or not Foles is the Eagles franchise quarterback. Vick continues to reinforce the idea that he is an injury prone veteran. On top of that, Vick will be an unrestricted free agent after the season, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Eagles stick with Foles if he’s able to continue playing at a high level and evaluate him for the remainder of the season.

We have Vick listed as the No. 34 player in our Top 50 – 2014 Free Agent list.
