Michael Vick Will Remain The Eagles Starting QB

During his press conference this afternoon, Eagles head coach Andy Reid mentioned that he’s standing by Michael Vick as the team’s starting quarterback, per Jeff McLane.

It looks as though Vick’s “get out of jail free card” was due to the Eagles offensive lines horrendous play during last night’s loss to the Saints. Still, Vick has shown little ability to adjust to blitzes and can’t seem to find his receivers on a regular basis.

It appears Reid is going to go down with this ship. In the last 21 games, Vick has a record of 10-11, which isn’t exactly an impressive stretch for a quarterback who is surrounded with multiple weapons on offense. Backup quarterback Nick Foles has been waiting for his opportunity to start for the Eagles, but it doesn’t look like that will happen until the Eagles are out of the playoffs.
