Mike Singletary Interviewed For Rams’ Defensive Coordinator Position

Jeremy Fowler of CBS Sports reported on Friday that the Rams interviewed Vikings assistant head coach Mike Singletary for their vacant defensive coordinator position.

The Rams have already met with Rob Ryan and Dick Jauron regarding the job, but with Ryan headed to New Orleans, but there’s at least a small chance Singletary could be brought in.

His time with the 49ers was hugely disappointing, especially now that they’ve become one of the best teams in the league, despite having the same nucleus that they did under Singletary. With that being said, Singletary has helped the Vikings’ linebackers in recent years, so it’s not as though he’s incapable of being a good position coach or coordinator.

Jauron looks to be the favorite at this point in time, but that is purely based on speculation.
