The Dallas Cowboys have made it clear for some time now that they plan to extend the contract of Miles Austin. Adam Schefter first reported that the team and Austin are finalizing a six-year deal worth more than $50 million. The Deal should be finalized by Sunday and could pay Austin as a top five NFL wide-receiver.
Dallas had to have been pleasantly surprised at the production that they got out of Austin last year. He should remain the teams go-to receiver this year which will hopefully offset any struggles that their offensive may have. Having Austin long-term could help them develop one the leagues best passing game for years to come depending on Dez Bryant‘s growth as an NFL wide-receiver.
