Mississippi State S Brandon Bryant Officially Enters Supplemental Draft

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that former Mississippi State S Brandon Bryant’s application for the NFL supplemental draft has been approved.

Bryant is scheduled to hold his pro day on June 25 at Mississippi State.

Bryant joins Western Michigan CB Sam Beal and Virginia Tech CB Adonis Alexander as possible players available to be selected in next month’s supplemental draft.

It’s rare for anyone to be selected in a supplemental draft, but it sounds like these players have a decent shot at being picked.

The last player taken in a supplement draft came back in 2015 when the Rams elected to use a fifth-round pick on OT Isaiah Battle. Before that, the Browns used a second-round pick on WR Josh Gordon back in 2012.

Bryant recorded 157 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1.5 sacks, five interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, seven pass defenses and a forced fumble over three seasons at Mississippi State and 37 games played.

We’ll have more regarding Bryant and the supplemental draft as the news is available.
