New England Considering T.J. Houshmandzadeh & Darren Sharper?

So far the New England Patriots have brought in a couple veterans with the additions of Chad Ochocinco and Albert Haynesworth but Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald reports that the Patriots will also be bringing in WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh and S Darren Sharper for workouts later today.

Both players haven’t drawn much of any interest on the open market up to this point so it will be interesting to see if either players receives and offer from New England. Houshmandzadeh is coming off of another disappointing season in Baltimore where he’ll be remembered for dropping a pass that would have kept their 2010 season alive, after he complained weeks prior that he needed the ball more. Sharper is one-year removed from an excellent season in which he total a league leading nine interceptions and three touchdowns. Scouts have criticized his coverage ability which is likely still a concern considering that he’s now 35 years old.
