NFC East Notes: Cowboys, Eagles, Giants

Cowboys

Cowboys HC Jason Garrett said WR Terrence Williams is still recovering from the foot surgery he underwent in February but still appears to be “on schedule” to return.

He has not been involved in the teaching sessions yet. He’s been out there. He’s been working on the side with our trainers and our strength coaches,” Garrett said, via Pro Football Talk. “It seems like he’s on schedule to do everything that everyone anticipates him to be able to do. He’s in good spirits. I think he’s just waiting and waiting for that chance to get back out there. But he’s certainly engaged, and he’s doing all the right things.

Eagles

  • Tim McManus reports that Eagles DE Brandon Graham recently had surgery on his right ankle and could miss spring workouts. McManus adds that the procedure is to promote faster healing on a high ankle sprain suffered last year.
  • According to Neil Stratton, former Bills area scout Shawn Heinlen is expected to be confirmed as a new Eagles scout in the coming week.
  • Eagles signed LB LaRoy Reynolds. (NFLTR)
  • Eagles waived S Dominick Sanders.

Giants

Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk reports that Giants QB Eli Manning has settled the memorabilia fraud lawsuit that was slated to get underway on Monday.

The Giants have confirmed the news and released the following statement:

Eric Inselberg, Michael Jakab and Sean Godown have resolved all claims in their pending litigation against the New York Giants, Eli Manning, John Mara, William Heller, Joseph Skiba, Edward Skiba and Steiner Sports, in accordance with a confidential settlement agreement reached today,” the statement from the team explains. “The compromise agreement, entered into by all parties, should not be viewed as supporting any allegations, claims or defenses. All parties are grateful to have the matter, which began in 2014, concluded and are now focused on football, the fans and the future.”

The trail was ultimately delayed due to a death in the family and the two parties managed to come to an agreement to ensure that the case never goes to trial.

Manning was accused of fraudulently passing off memorabilia as game-worn.
