NFC East Notes: Cowboys, Eagles, Giants, Redskins

Cowboys

  • Cowboys HC Jason Garrett said LB Sean Lee could return to the starting lineup once healthy: “Sean is one of our best players. Once he’s healthy and ready to go we’ll give him a chance to get back in the lineup somehow.” (Mike Fisher)

Eagles

Eagles TE Zach Ertz says they have “full confidence” in Nick Foles as their starting quarterback.

I saw Nick, a lot of guys saw Nick, and kind of called him out,” Ertz said, via NFL.com. “I just wanted everyone to know that everyone has full confidence in the guy. No one is asking him to do too much. We just want him to be himself. But at the same time, guys love playing for him. Guys love his personality. And I wanted him to know that everyone had his back.”

Giants

  • Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. was asked Wednesday if he’s dealing with a quad contusion: “I don’t know. It’s like saying I broke my leg but you really fractured it. It’s a choice of words, whatever you want to call it. Sh** ain’t right.” (Jordan Raanan)

Redskins

  • Redskins HC Jay Gruden said TE Jordan Reed is “coming along” and they remain “optimistic” that QB Colt McCoy can return from his broken leg. (John Keim)
