NFC North Notes: Bears, Lions, Packers

Bears

  • Bears HC Matt Nagy said of OLB Khalil Mack: “He’s day to day right now. We’re just going to continue to keep an eye on it and be more cautious than anything.”

Lions

  • The Detroit Lions announced Wednesday that WR Andy Jones returned to practice, which opens a three-week window of time for him to be activated from the PUP list.

Packers

Following Monday’s win over the 49ers, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers told reporters that he’s hoping to no longer need to wear a brace on his injured knee coming out of the bye.

“I just told (the) doc I’d love to take the brace off after the bye, but we’ll see how I respond tomorrow and this week and next week,” Rodgers said, via Pro Football Talk. “Probably get some sort of image of it again, but that would be nice to be feeling great come next week Wednesday.

  • Packers HC Mike McCarthy admitted that they’ve discussed designating WRs Jake Kumerow and/or Trevor Davis to return from injured reserve: “We talked about that a little bit today, but that’s a decision we’ll have for you next week.” (Rob Demovsky)
