NFC Notes: Eagles, Lions, Packers, Seahawks

Eagles

Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com takes a look at some speculative trade options for the Eagles that could help them fix their broken running game.

Lions

Lions WR Golden Tate tells Sirius XM NFL Radio that he’s hoping to finish out his career in Detroit.

“I would hope to end my career here because I truly love it here,” Tate said. “I love the direction we are going.”

Packers

  • According to Rob Demovsky, Packers OLB Ahmad Brooks would need 11.5 sacks to earn the full $1.5 million in incentives included in his contract.
  • Although, Brooks could still collect $250,000 (6.5 sacks), $500,000 (7.5 sacks), $750,000 (8.5 sacks), $1 million (9.5 sacks) or $1.25 million (10.5 sacks).

Seahawks

  • Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times mentions that there are a few issues that would likely work against the Seahawks attempting to trade TE Jimmy Graham.
  • The first of which is the fact that he’s currently dealing with an ankle injury that could prevent him from suiting up for their Week 3 game. Beyond that, Graham’s production hasn’t been very good and he currently carries a cap hit of $10 million for the 2017 season.
  • With this in mind, Condotta writes that Graham’s trade value is likely much less than many would think, which means it would probably be best for the Seahawks to hold on to him and see if he can turn things around.
  • As for the offensive line, Condotta says that it could be too difficult solve their issues up front with a trade, given that we’re already a few weeks into the season. It would likely require some time for an offensive lineman to step in a learn the Seahawks’ offense, so they may not see results until later on in the year if they were to swing a deal before the deadline.
