NFC Notes: Eagles, Saints, Seahawks

Eagles

Eagles LB Nigel Bradham said earlier in the week that he expects to be cleared regarding the charges that stem from an allegedly assaulted a hotel employee.

“I feel pretty confident,” said Bradham of being cleared, via Philly.com.

Saints

Saints WR Willie Snead said he’s optimistic that his agent and the team will be able to work out an agreement regarding a contract extension.

“The guys upstairs are handling it,” Snead said, via the New Orleans Times-Picayune. “My agent is handling it right now, so right now I’m just focusing on coming in and out of practice every day healthy. I’m just trying to attack this summer and get ready for training camp.

“I know it’s going to get handled,” Snead said. “It’s going to take time, but I feel like we’ll get it done sooner or later.”

Seahawks

Seahawks CB Richard Sherman denied that he requested a trade out of Seattle, despite the previous reports.

It was never a situation where anybody asked for it. It was just a conversation,” Sherman said, via Pro Football Talk. “We didn’t (ask for a trade). We just had conversations about it. It is what it is. Great conversations, great dialogue. We were transparent. Nobody’s worried about it.”

Sherman is well aware of the fact that the NFL is a business and potential deals get discussed behind closed doors.

You know this is a business, football is always a business. You understand that from the day you get in it,” Sherman said. “You don’t have much choice in the matter. You just gotta live your life. Don’t worry about it.

The Seahawks reportedly had their asking price for Sherman set really high. Sherman added that he would not have blamed Seattle for trading him if they could have secured two first-round picks.

If somebody comes with two first-rounders I wouldn’t blame them in the least, you know?” Sherman said. “I wouldn’t blame them, at all. It’d be another crazy trade — who was it that got traded like that, Herschel Walker or something like that? But it’s just a conversation.
