NFC Notes: Rams, Seahawks, Vikings

Rams

Rams DT Aaron Donald is skipping the start of voluntary OTAs this week, which shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, considering that he’s still without a long-term commitment from the team.

On Monday, new Rams CB Marcus Peters told reporters that the team should just pay Donald.

“Hey, man, pay the man,” Peters said, per Greg Beachem of the Associated Press. “I mean, sheeeit. You win the MVP? Come on now.”

Seahawks

Tom Pelissero reports that Seahawks S Earl Thomas won’t be in attendance for the start of voluntary OTAs this week and there have been no negotiations up to this point and there doesn’t appear to be any on the horizon.

On Monday, Seahawks LB Bobby Wagner made a point to say during an interview with 710 ESPN in Seattle that they hoping for the best for Thomas and consider him to be an amazing player.

“Before we get off, I would like to take this time to shout out to Earl Thomas,” Wagner said. “I think he’s an amazing player, he’s an amazing person, he’s a Hall of Famer. And just let him know that we’re over here and we’re wishing for the best in that situation and we’re thinking about him. And I just want him to know that.“”

Vikings

Vikings HC Mike Zimmer tells Tom Pelissero of NFL Media that RB Dalvin Cook (ACL) is “ahead of schedule” and expected to participate during OTAs.

“We’re excited about where he’s at,” Zimmer said of Cook’s recovery.
