NFC West Notes: Cardinals, Rams, Seahawks

Cardinals

Cardinals HC Steve Wilks said that they will likely ramp up QB Sam Bradford’s workload during minicamp next week.

I think he’s on schedule,” Wilks said, via AZCardinals.com. “He feels real confident right now with how his knee feels. Again, we are doing a great job in-house with the trainers and strength and conditioning coach and getting him where he needs to be. I think from a mental standpoint, he’s feeling pretty good.”

As for how Bradford’s doing health-wise, Wilks said he feels “pretty good” where he’s at.

“I think he’s on schedule,” Wilks said. “He feels real confident right now with how his knee feels. Again, we are doing a great job in-house with the trainers and strength and conditioning coach and getting him where he needs to be. I think from a mental standpoint, he’s feeling pretty good.”

Rams

Former Rams WR Torry Holt is working with the Rams this spring as part of the league’s Bill Walsh Diversity Fellowship.

“Just trying to get a feel for coaching, and if this is something that I want to pursue maybe going forward,” Holt said, via Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times.

Rams HC Sean McVay said Holt brings a unique perspective to their staff.

“He brings a unique perspective from a player that’s had as much success as anybody, understanding the nuances of the receiver position, how to separate,” McVay said. “You talk about a guy that had ownership and a mastery of the system that he was playing in, that they had so much success in, for so many years.”

Seahawks

Seahawks LT Duane Brown said Monday that he’s leaving contract negotiations up to his agent.

“My agent is handling that,” Brown said, via Pro Football Talk. “I trust that everything is going to happen in good time and when it’s supposed to. For now I’m just concerned with this moment, embracing every day that I have here in the offseason. This is the first time that I’ve been able to work with this group of guys in the offseason and I’m really cherishing it and enjoying it. It’s my 11th year I’m going into so I’m not concerned with that. I’m concerned with improving as a player, helping my group up front improve and doing all I can for this team and everything else will work itself out.
