NFL Considering Moving Back The Draft Even Further?

Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that three NFL sources have informed him that the league is giving “serious consideration” to the idea of scheduling the draft even later in May.

According to McGinn the NFL could push the event back by another week or two next season.

The idea was recently floated by commissioner Roger Goodell that the draft could be expanded to four days and possibly hosting the event in different cities.

  • Bart Hubbach of the New York Post reports that an NFL source has informed him New Orleans, Boston, Philadelphia, Orlando, Chicago, Los Angeles, Arlington, and Canton, Ohio have all applied to host draft.

However, it seems the public and NFL teams would prefer that the draft go back to being scheduled in April as the extra two weeks haven’t made the process any better.
