NFL Execs Expect Titans To Trade Back, TEN Has “At Least” Two Offers On Table

Jason La Canfora confirms reports that the Titans have at least two offers on the table for the No. 1 overall pick that they deem at least as worthy starting points toward an eventual deal.

Executives around the league believe the Titans will ultimately trade out of the top spot to secure more draft picks.

“I really do expect them to trade out of that pick,” an executive from one team that has explored possible trade-up scenarios told La Canfora. “They’ll market it up to the draft to get the best ransom they can, but they’ll move it.”

Should the Titans keep the the pick, La Canfora hears that Ole Miss LT Laremy Tunsil is their guy and it isn’t even all that close, despite reports that they could take FSU DB Jalen Ramsey.

Tennessee has reportedly done exhaustive work on the offensive tackle position in recent weeks and they could look to grab one of Notre Dame’s Ronnie Stanley or Michigan State’s Jack Conklin in the event they trade back.

The Titans have made it quite clear that they’re open for business at No. 1 overall, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see them eventually reach an agreement with a team looking to move up for one of the quarterbacks.

For what it’s worth, we have the Titans taking Tunsil at No. 1 overall in our most recent 2016 NFL Mock Draft.

We’ll have more regarding the Titans’ possibly trading out of No. 1 overall as the news is available.
