NFL News: Cam Newton Entering Draft

Joe Schad is reporting that Auburn has announced that Cam Newton will in fact enter the 2011 draft.

Earlier today there was talk that the Washington Redskins could be interested in drafting Newton with their first pick but they have since said that they plan to keep Donovan McNabb. Keeping McNabb doesn’t appear to be a likely scenario considering that the Redskins have gone against their word multiple times in the past year.

  1. McNabb’s new contrct will pay him $12M per year! No way the Redskins pay him $12M just to bench him for Rex Grossman. Redskins should trade back (pickup 1 or 2 picks) and get the QB from Delaware in the 2nd or the QB from Texas A&M in the 5th.
