Jason La Canfora reports that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has made the announcement that Jason Garrett will be returning as the teams head coach. Garrett’s deal is reported to be a four-year deal.
There was very little doubt that the Cowboys would elect to go in a different direction despite the number of enticing head coaching options that existed at one point.
Jones also mentioned that “There won’t be a player on the team that Jason does not want on the team.” He added that Garrett will be able to pick his staff as well.
This is an interesting concession from Jones given that he has ruled over the teams roster since Bill Parcels left some years ago.
