Just in case you were hoping that Bill Cowher would whined up coaching the Giants next season, the New York Giants CEO John Mara has announced that Tom Coughlin will return as the Giants head coach. Mara said “there was never any doubt” when it came to who would be coaching the team in 2011. Coughlin was told to not to “listen to the nonsense” sometime last week.
That was probably a good decision on the part of Mara and the front office since it allowed Coughlin to focus on beating the Redskins and not on saving his job. Unfortunately for Giants fans, the Green Bay Packers wound up beating the Chicago Bears and eliminating the New York from the playoffs.
