NFL Notes: 49ers, Eagles, Patriots, & Titans

49ers

  • Alex Marvez of FOX Sports reports that the are hiring Eagles WRs coach Bob Bicknell for the same position on Chip Kelly’s staff.
  • Jeff McLane adds that DL coach Jerry Azzinaro and QB coach Ryan Day are also expected to join Kelly’s staff.

Eagles

  • Jeff McLane believes the Eagles could keep RBs coach Duce Staley, special teams coordinator Dave Fipp, DBs coach Cory Undlin and OL coach Jeff Stoutland, depending on what Doug Pederson wants to do with his staff.

Patriots

  • Mike Reiss of ESPN writes that Patriots WR Danny Amendola’s status in 2016 is clouded due to the fact that his salary increases to $5 million.
  • With this in mind, Reiss believes it’s hard to imagine Amendola returning at that price.
  • Although, the two sides could agree to a restructured contract that allows Amendola to return at a reduced rate.
  • Reiss can see the Patriots targeting a dynamic receiver during the offseason, most likely in the draft.

Titans

  • Paul Kuharsky mentions that recently released OC John DeFilippo might make sense as a target for the Titans.
