NFL Notes: Draft, 49ers, Dolphins, & Falcons

  • LSU TE Dillon Gordon declared his entrance into the 2016 NFL Draft after the NCAA denied his request for a fifth year of playing eligibility. (Ross Dellenger)

  • According to Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area, the 49ers have not made an effort to re-sign free agent WR Anquan Boldin and assumes this is because the team wants to give the young receivers on the roster an opportunity to earn a starting spot.
  • However, Maiocco could see the 49ers bringing back Boldin if HC Chip Kelly is not impressed with the receivers they have.

  • Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports the Dolphins are showing interest in Arizona OL  Lene Maiava, BYU DE Bronson Kaufusi, and Ohio State TE Nick Vannett.

  • According to D. Orlando Ledbetter, the Falcons came away impressed with Georgia OLB Leonard Floyd after his private workout with the team on Saturday.
