  • Davis did, however, post some videos on his Instagram account that show him working out with the caption: “Preparing To Go Lead Some Men.” (CSN Bay Area)

Broncos

Broncos NT Sylvester Williams mentioned in an interview with Sirius XM NFL Radio that HC Gary Kubiak told the team that QB Mark Sanchez will be the starter heading into training camp.

Right now, they’re giving all three of those guys equal reps, so I don’t think either one of them has created any advantage at this point, because they haven’t consistently been with the ones yet,” Williams said. “But I think, going into the camp, I think Coach Kub kind of let us know he’s going to go with Mark and give Mark the opportunity to see what he can do and then go on from there.

“But me, personally, I’ve got a lot of faith in Mark and Trevor as well and Paxton. But I feel like Mark can go out there and get the job done if he needed to.”

Williams added that he believes they’ll still be in good shape, despite a change in quarterback.

…I feel like (Sanchez is) going to training camp and he’s got the opportunity to lose the job,” Williams said. “And if he holds onto it, I think we’re going to be in good shape. If not, I think we’ve got guys that are going to step up as well.

Giants

  • Dan Graziano reports that the Giants maintained interest in OT Eugene Monroe until recent days and were hoping he would join them for training camp next week to compete at right tackle.
  • However, Monroe announced his retirement from the NFL Thursday, which leaves Marshall Newhouse as the Giants’ projected starting right tackle for now.
  • Graziano doesn’t think the Giants re-signing veteran OT Will Beatty is an option.
